Our Honeymoon

I wanted to take some time and share our honeymoon with you all.  It's again belated, but with wedding season coming up along with Spring/Summer I thought it may help anyone out there trying to plan a trip.

We spent the first part of our honeymoon in Las Vegas (less than 48 hours to be exact) and the 2nd longer part in Cabo.  We both love Vegas and gambling, so I knew when planning that we just had find a way to go there for a couple of days.  With Vegas being out West it made the most sense for us flight wise to go to Cabo for the relaxing beachy part of our trip.  I had been to Cabo once before and knew it was absolutely gorgeous and that it would be the perfect place for us to relax and be pampered for the last 4 days of our trip.  I was right!!  We really couldn't have asked for a better honeymoon.

Where we stayed:

Vegas: Planet Hollywood
We love this hotel.  This was my 4th or 5th time staying here and it doesn't disappoint.  The location on the strip is perfect, the rooms are nice and clean, and the casino is great as well.  Sure there are more luxurious and upscale hotels in Vegas, but to get the best bang for your buck you can't go wrong with PH.  I'm not going to go into detail on the day and a half we were here, but we just went back in December for 4 days and I plan to do a post recapping that trip with details soon.

Cabo: Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos
I did quite a bit of research before booking this hotel.  We went to Cancun in 2016 and really didn't love the hotel chain we stayed at, mainly because the food was terrible, so that was so important in reading reviews and doing research when planning our honeymoon.  I have to say this hotel was amazing.  From the nice rooms, friendly staff, and the food was all more than we could expect.  Our only food complaint was the steak at the actual steak restaurant wasn't that great, but to us that was a minor issue and we would just chose to not eat there if we returned.  The drinks were always good by the pool.  Room service would bring us mimosas to our room after breakfast every morning.  The hotel is all-inclusive and has 8 total restaurants.  1 buffet, 1 coffee/donut shop, 1 pool taco bar, and 5 actual sit down restaurants.  We loved that we didn't have to make reservations to eat at any of the sit down places.  It was all first come first serve.  Our 2 favorites were the Hibachi and Italian.  We also really loved getting fresh made tacos by the pool every day.  Our last day there happened to be Cinco de Mayo and they did lots of special things all day including a Mexican Fiesta and show after dinner that night.  We opted to just stay at the resort the whole time rather than do any excursions.  We were so exhausted from the wedding and Vegas that this honestly was exactly what we needed.  We did do a couples massage one morning.  It was amazing.  The spa concierge actually reached out to me the week before we arrived and offered us a discount which I thought was so nice.  Overall I would really recommend this hotel to anyone planning a trip to Cabo.  We have definitely looked in to going back.
