2018 Beauty Favorites I Will Be Using In 2019
Hey!!! Long time no blog over here!! I'm not going to bore you with all the things that have been going on and/or reasons I haven't written a post in a while, but I'm hopefully back to blogging 2-3 days a week. I put so much pressure on myself when I started this to have some sort of content 5 days a week that it just ended up failing and fizzling out by the end of 2018 and I don't want to do that to myself this year.
I know in several past posts I've shared several beauty products that I love, but I wanted to put this together full of all the products I used last year and will still be using and re-purchasing into 2019. It's easy to say you love something, but I think it's the things you continue to re-purchase that become those Holy Grail can't live without products.
1. Morphe x Jaclyn Hill brush set This has anything and everything you need and so worth the price!!
2. Kevin Aucoin concealer This may seem pricey for a concealer, but I swear it will last you forever. A little goes a long way. I only use this for photo shoots and special occasions.
3. Donna Karan Cashmere Mist deodorant I won't ever use anything else!! This lasts me longer than any drugstore deodorant I've had and smells amazing.
4. Tarte Shape Tape concealer This is my everyday go to concealer. I love the consistency of it and coverage is great.
5. Beauty Blender I use this for foundation, concealer, and applying powder. It has to be wet to work the best.
6. Brazilian Bum Bum Cream If I'm being honest, I buy this for the smell. But at tub of this will last you a long long time. A little goes a long way.
7. Morphe x Jaclyn Hill Palette The amount of eye looks you can do with this palette is unlimited!! Basically all you need. Don't let it intimidate you, there are lots of good tutorials on YouTube. The color payoff with these are amazing!!
8. MAC Paint Pot I use this to prime my eyelids for shadow. I use the shade Painterly. I haven't found anything that keeps my shadow in place like this.
9. It Cosmetics CC Cream This is my go to everyday foundation year round. I wear shade medium. The coverage is like a real foundation even though it's a CC cream. I love this stuff!!
10. Lancome Definicils mascara I think I've used this since I started wearing makeup. This is my OG Holy Grail product and will be on any must have make up list I do!!
11. Sephora Outrageous Effect Volume lipgoss I love this stuff to tone down a darker shade or even on its own. It has a slight plumping tingle without the burn of some lip plumpers.
12. Kenra High Grip Spray I started using this when I cut my hair back in August. It really helps the curls take shape and dirty up my hair a bit before using the curling iron. And it smells really good, too.
13. Kenra Texture Spray I use this after I'm done curling my hair to give it a bit more of a piecey look.
14. MAC lip pencil & lipstick I use the color Whirl in both of these. These are almost always my go to colors with a little of the Sephora gloss above over it to tone it down a bit.
15. NYX Butter Gloss At one point last year I found 3 tubes of this in my purse in the same color. (oops) I use Creme Brulee'. Such a great neutral color!!
16. Tangle Teezer Only brush I really use. It's great on wet or dry hair.
17. T3 Curling Wands My biggest splurge, but so worth it. These curl my hair better than anything I've had and I link the interchangeable wands for different size curls depending on my mood.
18. Essence mascara Such an amazing find last year for $5!! Goes on great with no mess and really curls my lashes.
